Nearpod Creations
Last week we looked at pre-created Nearpod lessons. This week let's look at making our own. Grab a powerpoint you already have or start from scratch. Login to Nearpod, click "new presentation" and drag your powerpoint onto the workspace to get started. Be sure to title your presentation so that you know what it is, consider putting your last name in the title as this is a shared account with others at your grade level.
With Nearpod you can insert slides that are content, websites, or activities.

After you have created your presentation be sure to publish it so that you can run the session with students. Run the "Live" session with the whole class and the "homework" session for individuals or centers time.
The live session keeps you in control of the slides, whereas the homework session allows students to go through at their own pace. Both types of sessions allow you to look at student responses through "reports". Students join a session by using the code you provide, either live or homework.
Helpful Tip: If you are using Symbaloo and you want students to use Nearpod during centers, use the homework link to place it on your Symbaloo, then students won't need your code as it is already embedded in the link.
